Global Warming

Global warming happens when the earth heats up (the temperature rises) to more than normal range. It happens when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water vapour, nitrous oxide and methane) trap terrestrial radiation in the Earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature. This temperature increase can have paradoxical effects, such as more frequent and severe snowstorms. Climate change can and will affect the globe in several big ways: by drying out already-arid areas, by melting ice, by causing weather extremes and by disrupting the delicate balance of the oceans. Global warming is a synonym for climate change, though “climate change” has become the preferred term among scientists.

Reasons for Global Warming

FOREST FIRE

There are so many reasons for global warming. Among them the main cause is the greenhouse effect.

Greenhouse Effect

ICE BURG

A process by which thermal radiation from a planetary surface is absorbed by atmospheric greenhouse gases, and is re-radiated in all directions. This effect is mainly caused by the gases carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbon, nitrous oxide, methane, etc. These gases form a cover in the atmosphere around the Earth through which rays of the sun can enter the earth but cannot exit. So, the heat of the sun remains in the lower layer of the Earth making the temperature rise.

However, the increase in greenhouse gases is linked to human activities. It is thus no surprise that the world’s leading climate scientists believe that human activities are very likely the main cause of global warming.

Effects of Global Warming

SMOKE

Global Warming is increasing at an alarming rate. It is affecting many parts of the world. Global Warming is also linked to acid rain. Acid rain gradually destroys almost everything it touches. It makes the Earth very hot. It also causes many more fires that wipe out whole forests. Balanced equations of marine life are changing because of global warming. Melting of glaciers will result in the rise of sea level posing a threat to the habitat of coastal areas.

Prevention

GREENERY

Everyone can help limit climate change. From the way we travel, to the electricity we use and the food we eat, we can make a difference. Some of the ways to reduce global warming is to

  • Reduce our consumption of water and energy by using more efficient devices.
  • Reduce carbon dioxide emissions by promoting public transportation, carpooling,
  • Plant more trees and avoid deforestation.

I read your article it was very good. you can also include how climate change leads natural Disasters?, Economical-Social imapct of climate change . For prevent climate change we can promote green techniques in building construction, gave more importants for climatic science, Provide more opportunity for environmental-climatic studies and researchers, Avoid Sanitary pads &use menstrual cups, cloth pad etc.

[…] Global warming is the increase of temperature due to the increased concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This increased temperature caused various environmental issues. this affected the survival of many plants and animal species. excessive deforestation, increased number of vehicles, thermal power plants, burning of fossil fuels etc add fuel to global warming. global warming caused the melting of glaciers which resulted in flood in some countries and drought in some other countries […]
